About
Our mission
MyPet Blog is a free encyclopedic guide dedicated to pet animals. We publish practical articles, species sheets and care advice for everyday pet owners who want to look after their animals well.
Our current focus is building a thorough, reliable coverage of the domestic rabbit before gradually expanding to other species.
Editorial approach
Every article draws on recognized sources: veterinary reference works, publications from specialized associations (exotic pets, companion zoology), and publicly available guidelines. Our goal is to give clear answers to the everyday questions of pet owners — without ever replacing professional veterinary advice.
For medical or sensitive topics, a veterinary disclaimer is always displayed.
When useful, health articles also display a block of veterinary or institutional sources. These sources help readers verify the information framework, but they do not constitute a personalized medical review.
Limits of our content
Articles published here are informational and educational. They do not replace a veterinary consultation, especially when a pet shows worrying symptoms. When in doubt, consult an exotic-pet veterinarian.
We do not claim veterinary validation when it has not taken place. If an article is ever reviewed by a veterinarian, that information will be stated explicitly in the article.
Who we are
MyPet Blog is an independent project created and run by Paul Abensour, a developer and pet owner. The site is independently hosted and funded, with no affiliation to any brand, retailer or pet food manufacturer.
This independence lets us prioritize useful, cautious, and sourced content over commercial recommendations.
